While Gérald Darmanin announces measures to combat animal abuse, I meet two young women who have made it their forte, at the head of a shelter, “Le gang d’Oupsie”, in Thiberville, Eure. In this piece of countryside west of the Eure, in Thiberville, sheep, poultry, sows and goats coexist peacefully. Pampered by Mélodie and Léna, two selfless young women, these farm animals end their lives here in peace, when they were destined for much sadder destinies. Like Léon the goat abandoned in a field, or these hens left in a pen, or even this sow that had to be killed. Mélodie and Léna know the story of each of them well. This sow lived in a house with a woman who loved her above all else. This lady was terminally ill with cancer and her family told her that if she could not find someone to take care of the sow, she would be euthanized. So this woman called us.
